Sun Group tourism investment developments in Vietnam
Overview
Sun Group is engaging in various tourism development discussions and investment proposals across Vietnam.
In Hue City, local officials invited the group to explore investment opportunities focused on services along the Huong River and coastal areas. Discussions included enhancing heritage sites through lighting technology, performance programs, and exhibition spaces to leverage the region’s cultural history.
In Hanoi, the Ba Vi Safari Park project has transitioned from the appraisal stage to construction. Following a review by a municipal appraisal council to minimize impacts on local livelihoods and land use, the project scale was initially adjusted. The project has now officially broken ground in Ba Vi commune, covering approximately 299 hectares.
Designed by the US-based firm PGAV Destinations, the park is situated outside the boundaries of the Ba Vi National Park to maintain separation from protected forest spaces. The development aims to integrate animal conservation, environmental education, and high-quality tourism, with roughly 81.8% of the area dedicated to greenery and water bodies. The investment is estimated at over 6,500 billion VND, and the park is expected to host up to 6 million visitors annually upon completion. This initiative is part of a broader series of 18 major infrastructure works launched by Hanoi to commemorate the 72nd anniversary of Capital Liberation Day.
