Bab Moulay Driss distributes 6,000 welcome kits to Moroccan diaspora at Tanger Med

Bab Moulay Driss, a Moroccan cultural house, participated in the annual Opération Marhaba 2026 by launching an initiative at the Tanger Med port to welcome Moroccans living abroad (MRE) as they return to the Kingdom.

More than 6,000 welcome kits, designed around Moroccan heritage and lifestyle, were handed out to arriving travelers. Founder Abdesselam El Alami said the diaspora “occupies an essential place … contributes to the development and rayonnement of our country.” The effort aligns with the national mobilization promoted by King Mohammed VI and aims to strengthen the link between the diaspora and Morocco, with Bab Moulay Driss planning further cultural projects.
