Baby Loss Awareness Week marked by remembrance services
Baby Loss Awareness Week, taking place from October 9 to 15, is being marked by various organizations to support bereaved families and raise awareness regarding miscarriage, stillbirth, and neonatal death.
The Western Health and Social Care Trust is hosting two Services of Thanksgiving and Acknowledgment. The first service will be held on October 4 at the South West Acute Hospital in Enniskillen, followed by a second service on October 11 at the Guildhall in DerryLondonderry. The Trust will also display remembrance trees at Altnagelvin Hospital, Omagh Hospital and Primary Care Complex, and South West Acute Hospital throughout the week.
In the Catholic Diocese of East Anglia, a Mass of Remembrance was held at St Edmund’s Catholic Church in Bungay. The service provided a space for prayer and reflection, with clergy addressing the profound grief experienced by parents and emphasizing the importance of acknowledging the loss of unborn children.
