Dyson expands hair care lineup with new Airsmooth brush

Dyson has expanded its hair care lineup with the launch of the Airsmooth, a styling brush designed to dry, smooth, and shape hair in a single step. Retailing at $250, the device is positioned as a more affordable alternative to the $500 Airwrap. The tool features a teardrop-shaped head with dual bristle technology, including PivotFlex bristles for wrapping hair and anti-snag bristles for gliding through strands. It utilizes intelligent heat control technology that monitors air temperature more than 20 times per second to prevent damage.

In addition to the Airsmooth, Dyson continues to offer premium options like the Supersonic Nural. This high-end hair dryer includes advanced features such as Scalp Protect mode, which uses a time-of-flight sensor to automatically adjust temperature based on proximity to the head. Other intelligent capabilities include Attachment Learning, which saves preferred settings for specific magnetic attachments, and Pause Detect, which reduces airflow and heat when the device is placed on a surface.
