The final season of the television series ‘Babylon Berlin’ has premiered, focusing on the period beginning in January 1933 when Adolf Hitler was appointed Reichskanzler. The series dramatizes the rapid disintegration of German society and the rise of the Nazi party during the transition from the Weimar Republic to the Third Reich.

In conjunction with the cultural discussion surrounding the show, previously unreleased historical amateur film footage from the estate of a filmmaker known as Kuttruff has been made public. These recordings provide a rare visual record of Berlin between 1930 and 1936, depicting the city as a modern European metropolis prior to its destruction.
