This final installment is based on the novel ‘Märzgefallene’ and explores the historical context of the Reichstag fire. New details regarding the plot indicate that the protagonists will also deal with murders involving former soldiers and a missing file concerning Hitler’s service as a soldier during World War I.

The final season will consist of eight episodes. The episodes will be available on the ARD Mediathek starting September 10, 2026. Linear broadcast dates on the ARD network are scheduled for September 19 and September 25. Following its television premiere, the season is scheduled for home entertainment release on DVD, Blu-ray, and digital platforms on October 9, 2026.

To complement the series release, ARD is offering cross-media content, including a documentary titled ‘Babylon Berlin - Die Doku’ to explain the historical context, a podcast, and a video game titled ‘Eine Nacht im Moka Efti’.
