Bắc Ninh police fine two men nearly 40 million VND for stunt motorcycle video
On July 4, police in Bắc Ninh province investigated a video posted online showing a heavily modified motorbike performing dangerous maneuvers. The rider, identified as L.V.T (born 1997), operated the bike without a helmet, a left‑hand mirror, a valid licence and with a fake licence plate. The bike’s owner, C.V.L (born 1999), who runs a vehicle‑modification shop, allowed the unlicensed rider to use the vehicle and had altered its shape and size without authority.
The Traffic Police (CSGT) confirmed the violations and imposed administrative penalties: 13 million VND on the rider for safety infractions, 19 million VND on the owner for illegal vehicle modification and providing an unqualified driver, and an additional 7.5 million VND fine for operating an unregistered business. The total fine reached 39.5 million VND, the bike and its registration documents were seized, and authorities warned the public against filming traffic‑dangerous stunts for online views.
