Bac Ninh attracts $18.74 billion in investment amid economic growth
Bac Ninh is experiencing significant economic expansion following its official designation as a centrally-governed city under Resolution No. 39/2026/QH16 of the National Assembly. The region is actively developing a semiconductor industrial ecosystem and attracting substantial high-tech investment.
In the first nine months of 2026, the city attracted over $18.74 billion in investment, representing a 22.5% increase compared to the same period in 2025. This includes 264 new FDI projects with a total registered capital of $1.677 billion. Bac Ninh currently ranks third in Vietnam for FDI attraction, trailing only Ho Chi Minh City and Thai Nguyen province.
Economic growth remains strong, with GRDP increasing by 11.81% over the first nine months of 2026. To support this momentum, local business associations are focusing on enhancing management capacity, digital transformation, and technological innovation. The association aims to provide specialized training for at least 5,000 managers and entrepreneurs throughout its new term to help businesses adapt to market changes and artificial intelligence integration.
