Bac Ninh leads Vietnam export turnover in September

Bac Ninh province has surpassed Ho Chi Minh City in export turnover, leading Vietnam in September with $12.7 billion. Over the first nine months of the year, Bac Ninh recorded $88.2 billion in exports, compared to $75.7 billion for Ho Chi Minh City and $50.9 billion for Phu Tho.

The growth in Bac Ninh is primarily driven by the manufacturing and processing sectors, specifically electronics, telecommunications equipment, and semiconductors. Major foreign direct investment (FDI) contributors in the region include Samsung, Canon, Amkor, Luxshare-ICT, Fukang, and Fuhong. The province currently hosts over 3,600 active FDI projects with a total registered capital exceeding $50 billion.

On a national scale, Vietnam's electronics exports saw significant surges. Exports of computers, electronic products, and components to China reached a record high of nearly $6 billion in September, doubling the previous month's figure. Meanwhile, electronics exports to the United States also hit a record of nearly $7 billion in the same month, maintaining the US as the top market for these goods.
