Bac Ninh police issue traffic fines and launch fire‑rescue competition

The Bac Ninh Provincial Police announced that 315 vehicle owners who violated traffic signals and lane markings between 18 July and 24 July will be fined under Decree 168, which takes effect on 1 January 2025. Penalties range from 400 000 VND to 20 million VND for red‑light and lane‑violation offences, with additional driver‑license point deductions.

Separately, the province’s Fire‑Rescue Police promoted the "Ba nhất" competition – “most disciplined, most loyal, closest to the people”. The unit deployed 134 fire‑engine trips involving 802 officers, rescued 21 people trapped in an elevator, saved eight people from a fire in a boarding house, and assisted a worker trapped after a forklift accident. The campaign aims to improve readiness for fires, explosions, accidents and other emergencies.
