Bac Ninh Province Relocates Churches to Speed Gia Binh Airport Construction

Provincial officials in Bac Ninh, Vietnam, have prioritized land allocation and the relocation of religious facilities to accelerate the Gia Binh International Airport project. The province issued land‑use right certificates for replacement sites that are larger than the original church plots, including the new site for Ngo Thon Church in Gia Binh commune.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Pham Van Thinh said the administration is fully implementing Party guidelines and state policies on belief and religion while safeguarding lawful activities. Priest Nguyen Van Khiem thanked authorities for the larger replacement site, and resident Nguyen Van Tinh, whose family lost a 600‑square‑metre property, expressed support for the resettlement plan.

Households belonging to the parish were included in the same round of resettlement plot allocation, with plots grouped close to the future church. The resettlement area covers more than 140 hectares, and infrastructure construction is expected to be completed by July 2026, helping to keep the airport project on schedule.
