Vietnam provinces implement strict traffic and urban management measures
Various Vietnamese provinces are implementing strict measures to improve public safety and urban management. In Bac Ninh, traffic safety has improved significantly, with a decrease in accidents, fatalities, and injuries reported for the first nine months of 2026. This progress is attributed to rigorous management and the use of camera surveillance systems for automated fine issuance.
In An Giang, police have identified 630 traffic violations via surveillance cameras between September 16 and September 30, 2026, urging vehicle owners to pay fines. Similarly, in Thanh Hoa, over 300 vehicle owners have been notified of speeding violations on National Highway 1.
Hanoi is addressing five major urban challenges: traffic congestion, flooding, urban order, environmental pollution, and food safety. As of September 2026, the city has addressed 42 out of 51 identified traffic congestion points and implemented ten emergency flood control projects. Meanwhile, Ha Tinh continues to focus on regional security, border relations with Laos, and enhancing digital skills for military personnel.
