Bacău Nord junction opens on A7 Moldova Highway

The Bacău Nord road junction has officially opened to traffic, completing the 16-kilometer Bacău Bypass section of the A7 Moldova Highway. This opening allows drivers to travel from Bucharest to the northern part of Bacău entirely on high-speed motorways, utilizing the A3 and A7 routes.

With the completion of the connection works between the Focșani–Bacău and Bacău–Pașcani sections, the total distance of approximately 310 kilometers can now be covered in less than three hours. The reopening follows the recent inauguration of the 47.10-kilometer stretch between Adjud and Bacău.

Construction continues on the next phases of the A7 towards Pașcani. Approximately 258 kilometers of the roughly 335-kilometer stretch between the highway's start and Pașcani are now open to traffic. Work is ongoing on three lots between Bacău and Pașcani, with the first two lots expected to open by the end of 2026.
