Bad Kissingen hosts events for Bavarian Dementia Week

The Bad Kissingen care support center is participating in Bavarian Dementia Week, held from September 18 to 27, with two scheduled events focused on dementia awareness and support.

On September 22, advisors will host an information session at the Bad Kissingen City Library. The session will cover the characteristics of dementia, practical tips for interacting with those affected, and information regarding long-term care insurance benefits.

A second event, a lecture afternoon, will take place on September 24 at the Bad Kissingen District Office. The program includes an impulse presentation by Karin Steininger-Manske regarding the emotional experiences of people living with dementia, followed by a screening of the short film ‘Die Frau im Spiegel’. The film explores family life with a person suffering from dementia and aims to promote understanding and respectful interaction.
