The new system includes cameras equipped with microphones and speakers, allowing a monitoring company to warn individuals in real-time or alert the police if necessary. This initiative follows a pilot project in Tuttlingen that successfully reduced littering and aided in identifying culprits.

In other areas, such as Oberwildenau, illegal dumping of wood, furniture, and metal in forests continues to pose environmental and financial burdens. Local officials note that such actions force municipal workers to divert time from other duties to clean up sites. Under the Circular Economy Act, illegal dumpers face significant fines that can reach up to 100,000 euros.
