In cities such as Bonn, specialized waste investigators are working to identify perpetrators by analyzing physical evidence, such as address labels on packaging, to combat the disposal of household and hazardous materials in public spaces and forests.

In early September, the crackdown intensified in Baden-Württemberg. In Lahr, authorities are implementing surveillance technology at container sites, utilizing cameras equipped with microphones and speakers to allow real-time warnings or police alerts. This follows a successful pilot project in Tuttlingen. Meanwhile, in areas like Oberwildenau, the dumping of wood, furniture, and metal in forests continues to strain municipal resources. Under the Circular Economy Act, offenders in these regions face significant fines that can reach up to 100,000 euros.
