BAE Systems drone intercepts attack drones using guided rockets

A modified T-150 Uncrewed Air System (UAS), developed by a subsidiary of BAE Systems, successfully intercepted multiple one-way attack drones during military experiments in Florida. The trials took place at Eglin Air Force Base in late September as part of the United States Office of the Under Secretary for Research and Engineering’s Mission Capabilities Joint Readiness Experimentation exercise.

The TRV-150 platform was equipped with a three-pod launcher firing BAE Systems’ APKWS laser-guided rockets. This configuration allowed the drone to engage several targets in succession without the need to land or reload. The testing was conducted in collaboration with SURVICE Engineering, a Maryland-based partner.

The T-150 is a heavy-lift electric multirotor originally built by Malloy Aeronautics. BAE Systems acquired the company in 2024. The successful integration of low-cost precision weapons onto uncrewed platforms aims to provide a rapid and effective counter-drone capability for modern battlefield threats.
