Bageshwar Dham begins Sanatan Hindu Ekta Rath Yatra
The Sanatan Hindu Ekta Rath Yatra 3.0 has commenced from Bageshwar Dham in Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh. Led by Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri, the 500-kilometer journey is scheduled to run from October 11 to October 15, passing through five districts in the Bundelkhand region: Chhatarpur, Panna, Damoh, Sagar, and Tikamgarh.
To manage the thousands of expected participants and approximately 300 vehicles, police have implemented strict security measures. Superintendent of Police Rajat Saklecha stated that 500 personnel have been deployed, supported by drones, CCTV cameras, and bomb disposal squads. The area has been divided into sectors to ensure smooth movement.
During the procession, devotees are being asked to take seven specific pledges. These include declaring India a Hindu nation, eliminating casteism and untouchability, granting national mother status to cows, preventing illegal religious conversions, securing Hindu pilgrimage sites, connecting future generations to Sanatan values, and promoting Hindu unity.
