Bahia Court announces inspections of 17 judicial districts

The Corregedoria-Geral da Justiça of the Tribunal de Justiça do Estado da Bahia (TJ-BA) has announced an extensive in-person inspection of 17 judicial districts in the western region of Bahia. Scheduled to take place between August 17 and 21, 2026, the audit will cover civil and criminal courts, special courts, court administrations, and notary offices.

The inspection will include a visit to the Barreiras prison to examine sentence fulfillment and physical conditions. In the economic hubs of Barreiras and Luís Eduardo Magalhães, the task force will specifically review proceedings in family, public finance, consumer, and juvenile courts, as well as criminal and jury courts.

Coordinated by six auxiliary judges, the operation will cover several municipalities, including Barreiras, Luís Eduardo Magalhães, Formosa do Rio Preto, and Santa Maria da Vitória, among others. The Corregedor-Geral, Desembargador Emílio Salomão Resedá, has authorized a reinforced technical team to manage the large volume of audited units and access to confidential processes.
