Bahia Supreme Court relocates temporarily to Ilhéus and Itabuna

From July 22‑24, the Tribunal de Justiça da Bahia (TJBA) will transfer its headquarters from Salvador to the interior cities of Ilhéus and Itabuna as part of the “Justice in Territory – Presence that Transforms” program. The move includes a solemn session of the court’s Special Chamber at the Paulo Souto auditorium of the State University of Santa Cruz (UESC).

During the stay, the court will operate a “Territory of Rights” service fair offering legal advice, issuance of certificates, health consultations and free land‑title registration to regularise property. More than 600 local students will participate in the “Right to Know” educational program, and lectures will address racial equity, child abuse prevention, domestic violence and modern slavery. The initiative aims to bring justice services closer to vulnerable populations in southern Bahia.
