In Brazil, a joint operation by the Federal Highway Police and Civil Police in Santa Catarina resulted in the seizure of 1.45 tons of marijuana transported in two pickup trucks, leading to two arrests. Other regional police actions in Brazil included the seizure of drugs and weapons in Feira de Santana and the arrest of a suspected drug dealer in Ensenada following surveillance via municipal security cameras.

In Mexico, authorities at the Mexico City International Airport (AICM) seized approximately 2 million counterfeit cigarettes originating from Thailand.
