Bahia Rejects Nacional's Loan Offer for Kike Olivera

Uruguayan club Nacional sought to bring striker Kike Olivera back on loan, targeting the player currently at Brazilian side Bahia. Olivera is on loan from Grêmio until the end of 2026, with an option to purchase at the contract's conclusion.

Bahia turned down Nacional's proposal because it offered no financial compensation and the club intends to keep Olivera for the remainder of the season. Grêmio, which owns his registration, has not participated in the negotiations and also opposes a new loan arrangement. The player remains available for upcoming matches, including the scheduled game against Chapecoense.

Olivera, who has faced two recent injuries, has appeared in 25 games for Bahia, scoring two goals and providing two assists. The club's decision reflects its investment in the player and its plans for the final stretch of the campaign.
