Baja California authorities strengthen security through recruitment and training

Authorities in the Baja California region are implementing new measures to strengthen public security and criminal investigation capabilities.

In Baja California Sur, the State Attorney General's Office (PGJE) conducted a “Methodology of Investigation” course for 60 criminal investigation agents. Led by specialist Aidé Sierra Pérez, the training focused on strategic planning, hypothesis construction, and the proper documentation of evidence within the accusatory penal system to ensure more effective legal processes.

Meanwhile, in Baja California, 165 new agents have joined the State Citizen Security Force, the State Investigation Agency, and municipal police forces. During a graduation ceremony at the State Institute for Prevention and Interdisciplinary Training (IEPFI), Governor Marina del Pilar Avila Olmedare emphasized that institutional strengthening includes both professional training and improving social security and legal certainty for officers. State Security Secretary Laureano Carrillo Rodríguez noted that this recruitment helps meet the operational demands of the state's growth, marking over 800 graduates in the last three years.
