Baja California announces free forums to support MiPyMEs
The government of Baja California has announced a series of free forums scheduled for September to support Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MiPyMEs) and local entrepreneurs. Governor Marina del Pilar Avila Olmeda stated the initiative aims to strengthen local talent and help businesses expand their opportunities in foreign trade.
Key events include CREO MX Rosarito on September 1 at Baja Studios, and both Baja California Conecta & Crece and the Third Foreign Trade Forum in Tijuana on September 4. The CREO MX event, organized with the Centro de Competitividad de México (CCMX) and WORTEV, will feature training, panels, and a pitch competition with economic prizes of 50,000, 30,000, and 20,000 pesos.
In Coahuila, the First National Distillates Meeting, ‘Productor Auténtico’, is taking place in Saltillo from August 27 to 29. The event brings together producers of sotol, mezcal, and bacanora to promote protected designations of origin and improve traceability. Additionally, merchants in Saltillo's Historic Center are launching a monthly promotion offering discounts of up to 50 percent to encourage local consumption.
