Economic development initiatives in Baja California have focused on fostering investment and business growth through specialized forums.

In late August, a binational hotel investment forum was scheduled for the Tijuana-Playas de Rosarito-Ensenada coastal corridor. The event aimed to connect developers and entrepreneurs with financial institutions and capital structuring strategies to support the region’s tourism sector.

Following this, the Baja California government announced a series of free forums for September designed to support entrepreneurs and Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MiPyMEs). Governor Marina del Pilar Avila Olmeda stated the initiative aims to “strengthen local talent and help businesses expand their opportunities in foreign trade.”

Key upcoming events include the CREO MX Rosarito on September 1 at Baja Studios, organized with the Centro de Competitividad de México (CCMX) and WORTEV. This event will feature training, panels, and a pitch competition offering economic prizes of 50,000, 30,000, and 20,000 pesos. Additionally, the “Baja California Conecta & Crece” and the Third Foreign Trade Forum in Tijuana are scheduled for September 4 to further facilitate connections and trade opportunities.
