Baja California hosts 25th Festival de Octubre with immersive art exhibits
Baja California will host the 25th edition of the Festival de Octubre, titled 'Territorios de Paz,' from October 1 to November 1. The event will span seven municipalities and feature over 100 artistic activities.
Key highlights include two major immersive exhibitions. The 'Desafío Dalí' exhibition, utilizing 3D technology and virtual reality, will open at the Centro Estatal de las Artes (CEART) in Tijuana on October 8. The 'Yo soy Frida Kahlo' exhibition, featuring over 300 digital images and video mapping, will open at CEART Mexicali on October 15.
To promote cultural access, officials announced the distribution of 20,000 free tickets for these exhibitions. Governor Marina del Pilar Avila Olmeda emphasized that the initiative aims to treat culture as a fundamental right for all citizens rather than a privilege for elites.
Additionally, the region will host the 2nd International Guitar Festival (FIGBA) in Rosarito from August 28 to 30, featuring masterclasses and recitals by musicians from Mexico and the United States.
