Baja California hosts international artisan and jazz festivals
Baja California will host two major cultural events in September. The 12th edition of the “TlaquepArte” International Exhibition of Handicrafts, Jewelry, and Decoration will take place from September 16 to 20 at the Baja California Center in Playas de Rosarito. The event features 200 exhibitors from 16 countries, including Peru, Colombia, Turkey, India, and Egypt, alongside representatives from over 25 Mexican states. Offerings include Mata Ortiz ceramics, Taxco silver, and various international textiles and decor.
Additionally, the 19th edition of the “Chinto” Mendoza Jazz Festival will run from September 18 to 20. The festival will tour three cities: Tijuana, Ensenada, and Mexicali. Named after the renowned Mexicali saxophonist Jacinto “Chinto” Mendoza Navarro, the event serves as a platform for jazz diffusion and artistic exchange, featuring various local ensembles and big bands.
