Baja California hosts wine and cocktail festivals in August

Baja California is hosting several cultural and gastronomic events throughout late August, focusing on the region's wine and cocktail traditions.

In the Valle de Guadalupe, the “Viñadas 2026” program, organized by Emprendedores del Valle de Guadalupe A. C. (EDVG), will feature activities such as “Vinos & Sombreros” on August 22 at Vinos 63 / Hotel Boutique. This event includes wine tastings, traditional grape stomping, and local gastronomy. Following this, “Polvo en las Botas, Vino en la Copa” is scheduled for August 29 and 30 at Don Tomás Viñedo.

Additionally, the “Festival de la Margarita 2026” will take place on August 29 at the Riviera de Ensenada. Organized by the Tijuana Tourism and Conventions Committee (Cotuco), the festival commemorates the 78th anniversary of the margarita cocktail, which originated at the Riviera's former Bar Andaluz in 1948. The celebration will include various margarita versions, preparation workshops, and musical performances.
