Baja California offers up to 35,000 pesos for business certification
The Baja California government announced the "Certifica tu Competitividad 2026" program, providing financial subsidies of up to 35,000 pesos to companies that obtain quality certifications. The scheme, overseen by the Secretariat of Economy and Innovation (SEI) and presented by Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda, covers two reimbursement tiers: up to 25,000 pesos for basic standards such as ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, and up to 35,000 pesos for specialized industrial standards.
Targeted sectors include high‑manufacturing fields like automotive, aerospace, medical devices, and IT security. Applications are accepted until 13 November 2026 or while funding lasts, with the aim of boosting productivity, market access, and integration of local firms into global value chains.
