Bajaj Auto profit jumps; Bajaj Finance stock spikes and unveils loan

Bajaj Auto reported a strong first‑quarter performance, with standalone net profit rising about 42 % YoY to Rs 2,983 crore and revenue up 37 % to Rs 17,243 crore. Consolidated profit surged 46 % to Rs 3,226 crore and total revenue grew 65 % to Rs 21,689 crore, driven by a 29 % increase in sales volume, a 54 % rise in exports and growing electric‑vehicle earnings that now represent roughly 30 % of domestic revenue. The company also noted higher margins and a robust mix of two‑ and three‑wheelers.

Bajaj Finance saw its shares climb to an eight‑month high after a positive Q1 update, with assets under management up 23.9 % to Rs 5.46 lakh crore and a record 5.1 million new customers added in the quarter. The lender also introduced a loan‑against‑property product offering financing up to Rs 15.5 crore at interest rates starting from 8 % per annum, aimed at business, education, home‑improvement and other major financial needs.

Both companies are part of India's rapidly expanding financial and automotive sectors, with the earnings beats and new credit product expected to support continued market momentum.
