Baku to host II International Conference on Cyber Diplomacy

The second International Conference on Cyber Diplomacy (ICCD 2026) is scheduled to take place in Baku on November 19. The event is co-organized by the State Service for Special Communication and Information Security of Azerbaijan and the National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics of Romania, with support from various Azerbaijani government agencies including the Presidential Administration and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The central theme of this year's conference is ‘Power and Influence in the Era of Artificial Intelligence: A Regional Outlook on the Changing Cyberspace Landscape.’ The platform will host international experts, diplomats, and representatives from international organizations to discuss the intersection of technology, geopolitics, and international security.

Key topics for discussion include the impact of artificial intelligence on international relations, the role of major technology companies as geopolitical actors, combating information warfare and deepfake technologies, and the protection of critical infrastructure. The conference aims to strengthen dialogue and cooperation between states, international organizations, and the private sector regarding transborder security risks and responsible state behavior in cyberspace.
