Bali landslide leaves two tourists missing in Badung

A severe landslide triggered by heavy rainfall has left two tourists missing at a luxury camping site in the Badung district of Bali, Indonesia. The victims, identified as a 27-year-old Indonesian national and a 56-year-old German national, were reportedly swept into the adjacent Tukad Yeh Tilap river along with their accommodation.

Emergency responders, including specialized units from the Basarnas search and rescue agency, have expanded the search radius to approximately 2.5 kilometers along the river. Teams are utilizing heavy machinery and police search dogs to navigate deep mud and difficult terrain. While the two individuals remain missing, 21 other guests, including two travelers from Ukraine, were successfully evacuated from the area without injury.

Rescue efforts have faced significant challenges due to unstable ground, subsequent landslides that damaged three additional structures, and torrential rain that forced temporary pauses in operations.
