Bali Wins Top Awards for Inflation Control, Poverty and Stunting Reduction

The Province of Bali was named the best-performing local government in Indonesia for 2026 in the categories of inflation control, poverty alleviation and stunting reduction. The recognitions were presented at the Apresiasi Pemerintah Daerah Berprestasi ceremony organised by the Ministry of Home Affairs, with Governor Wayan Koster receiving the trophies from officials including DPR Commission IV chair Titiek Soeharto and Minister of Housing and Settlement Maruarar Sirait. Bali also secured a financial incentive of Rp 3 billion for its provincial achievement, while additional funds were allocated to district and city winners, bringing the total incentive to about Rp 6 billion. District‑level awards saw Badung rank first, followed by Gianyar and Tabanan, and the city of Denpasar also placed among the top three. The ceremony took place at the Grand Ballroom of the Yogyakarta Marriott Hotel.
