Balıkesir Aromatherapy Festival Opens with Five New International Participants

The 7th Balıkesir International Aromatherapy Festival was inaugurated in the Burhaniye district of Turkey’s Balıkesir province. Organized by the Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality, the four‑day event features academic sessions, workshops and practical demonstrations aimed at promoting the health, beauty and wellbeing benefits of aromatherapy.

Mayor Ahmet Akın addressed the opening, noting that five additional countries are joining the festival this year and emphasizing the goal of sharing “the healing, joy and life‑force of aromatherapy” with visitors from across Turkey and abroad. He added that the festival seeks to boost Balıkesir’s cultural profile and showcase the region’s geographic potential.

The programme includes lectures by researchers, hands‑on training for practitioners and exhibitions of related products, inviting both local participants and international experts to exchange knowledge and foster new collaborations.
