Balıkesir University hires 309 staff for health services

Balıkesir University announced a recruitment drive for 309 contract personnel to be placed in its various units, with a focus on health‑related positions. The advertised posts include 150 nurses, 115 support staff, 17 health technicians, 10 office staff, 4 technicians, 4 drivers, 3 technicians, 2 engineers, 2 psychologists, 1 physiotherapist and 1 dietitian.

Applications will be accepted electronically from 3 August 2026 to 17 August 2026 via the President’s Career Portal, with documents to be submitted to the university’s Personnel Department by 21 August 2026. Results are scheduled for 25 September 2026 on the university’s website. AK Party Balıkesir provincial chairman Mehmet Aydemir highlighted the hiring as a significant development for the city, and noted that the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) has also introduced a staff‑exchange (becayiş) system to improve university administration.

The recruitment is expected to address staffing shortages at Balıkesir University Hospital and contribute to regional employment.
