Ball State field hockey begins 2026 season with road trip

The Ball State University field hockey team begins its 2026 regular season with a two-game road trip. The team will first face Bucknell University at Graham Field at Holmes Stadium on Friday, August 28. The following day, the Cardinals will play a neutral-site match against Sacred Heart University.

Led by head coach Caitlin Johnson, who is entering her fifth season, the team features a mix of 13 returning veterans and nine newcomers. Returning player Jade Vandevoorde, an All-Mid-American Conference Freshman Team honoree, is expected to be a key part of the lineup.
