Following the win, Day noted that while the team eventually recorded 237 rushing yards, the offense struggled to establish the run in the first half. He also emphasized the need for improved player discipline and building trust after mistakes made during the game. The victory brought Ryan Day to 83 wins at Ohio State, tying him with Urban Meyer for the fourth-most wins in program history.
