Baloch armed groups target Pakistani military and infrastructure
Multiple Baloch armed groups have claimed responsibility for a series of attacks targeting Pakistani military personnel and critical infrastructure across Balochistan and Sindh provinces.
The United Baloch Army (UBA) reported that a remote-controlled explosive device used against a military checkpost in the Bolan region killed four military personnel and injured another. Additionally, the Baloch Republican Guards (BRG) claimed responsibility for destroying two 220kV electricity towers near Chattar in Balochistan and another two towers near Shikarpur in Sindh. The BRG also stated they damaged an agriculture office in the Kachhi district.
Separately, the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) released video footage purportedly showing the planning and execution of an operation on July 31 near Quetta. The group claims the attack resulted in the deaths of 14 Pakistani military personnel and the seizure of weapons and communications equipment. BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch stated that the group conducted 38 operations between August 1 and August 8, targeting military convoys, bridges, railway tracks, and mineral transport vehicles.
