Baloch militant groups kill senior officer and dozens of troops in Balochistan

Balochistan experienced a series of coordinated attacks by separatist militants in early June. The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) said its fighters struck a convoy near Turbat on June 6, killing Lieutenant Colonel Arsalan Haleem, a senior Military Intelligence officer, and three other soldiers. In Zehri, the Baloch Raji Aajoi Sangar (BRAS) ambushed a military convoy on June 2, killing eight personnel and damaging a vehicle, then repelled a follow‑up armored response. The Baloch Republican Guards (BRG) claimed they surrounded and attacked a Pakistani forces' camp in the Sanni area of Kachhi district on the night of June 2, resulting in several casualties. The attacks underscore an escalation in insurgent activity across the province, targeting security forces with rockets, machine guns and heavy weapons.
