Sabiha Baloch, a central leader of the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC), has alleged that Baloch communities across Pakistan are facing systematic state repression. In a statement released via social media, Baloch stated that Baloch identity is increasingly being treated as a ‘mark of suspicion’ under the guise of national security.

According to the BYC, Baloch civilians in Balochistan are being subjected to airstrikes and drone attacks. Additionally, Baloch communities in Karachi, including those in Maripur and Lyari, are reportedly facing continuous raids, harassment, and targeted operations. Baloch highlighted that these actions have resulted in numerous enforced disappearances.

The BYC has launched a social media campaign intended to break the silence surrounding these alleged abuses and to amplify the voices of families affected by persecution and disappearances in Karachi and other regions, including Dera Ghazi Khan.
