Balochistan Liberation Army claims 34 attacks in Pakistan
The Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed responsibility for 34 operations conducted across Pakistan between October 9 and October 20. According to a statement by BLA spokesperson Jiyand Baloch, these actions resulted in the deaths of 23 individuals, including 14 Pakistani military personnel and nine members of military intelligence, informants, or government-supported armed groups.
The group detailed several specific incidents, including an IED attack on a military vehicle in the Harnai district on October 13 that killed three soldiers, and an ambush in the Kech district on October 16 that killed three more. Other reported fatalities occurred in Mastung, Manguchar, Surab, and Chagai through sniper fire and IED explosions.
As part of an ‘economic blockade’ policy, the BLA claimed to have maintained checkpoints on major highways to inspect vehicles. The group also reported capturing an active Pakistani soldier and targeting convoys along the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) routes. The BLA noted that six of its own members were killed during direct clashes with Pakistani security forces.
