Balochistan Liberation Front claims 80 Pakistani personnel killed in Gwadar offensive

The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) has claimed responsibility for a large-scale, 20-hour coordinated offensive known as ‘Operation Almas’ in Gwadar and surrounding coastal regions of Balochistan. According to a statement by BLF spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch, the operation, which began on October 22, resulted in the deaths of more than 80 Pakistani military and intelligence personnel, including an MI captain, ISI officers, and SSG commandos.

The group alleged that the attacks targeted military installations, intelligence facilities, and security checkpoints. The BLF claimed to have destroyed 12 armored vehicles and several supply trucks, while also shooting down four quadcopters and two surveillance drones. Additionally, the group stated they seized two police stations and destroyed several security posts, including headquarters for the Frontier Works Organisation (FWO) and the ISI.

These claims have not been independently verified. The BLF noted that the operation was named after Commander Almas Baloch and highlighted the involvement of female fighters in the coordinated strikes.
