Balochistan Liberation Front claims female unit attacked Pakistani military convoy

The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) has released video footage claiming its newly established all-female combat unit, the Karima Armed Assault Division (KAAD), carried out an attack on a Pakistani military convoy.

According to the BLF, the operation took place on September 22 in the Turbat area of Balochistan, specifically along a route associated with the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). The group claims that nine Pakistani military personnel were killed during the engagement, which involved a three-vehicle Quick Reaction Force convoy. However, these casualty figures have not been independently verified.

The KAAD unit is named after Karima Baloch, a prominent Baloch activist and former chairperson of the Baloch Students Organisation-Azad. The released footage shows female fighters in military-style uniforms undergoing training and participating in the ambush. The BLF has presented this as the unit’s first formal armed operation, signaling a shift toward direct combat roles for women within the organization’s insurgency.
