Balochistan militants claim multiple attacks on Pakistani military

The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) and the Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) have claimed responsibility for a series of violent operations targeting the Pakistani military in Balochistan province.

According to the BLA, the group conducted 34 operations between October 9 and October 20, resulting in the deaths of 14 military personnel and nine individuals identified as intelligence operatives or informants. The BLA reported using improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and ambushes in areas including Harnai, Kech, Mastung, and Kharan, claiming to have destroyed several military vehicles.

Simultaneously, the BLF launched a major assault in Gwadar, targeting multiple installations including an army camp and the Frontier Works Organization (FWO). The BLF reported that a suicide bomber detonated a vehicle at the FWO gate to facilitate the storming of the complex. The group claimed to have killed several soldiers, including a Military Intelligence Captain and Special Services Group personnel, and seized weapons from the Muzhani police station. The BLF also reported targeting the Gwadar Zero Point border station and controlling a police checkpoint at Gubd Cross.
