Balochistan militants launch coordinated attacks on military and lithium sites

Multiple militant groups have claimed responsibility for a surge of coordinated attacks against Pakistani security forces and infrastructure across Balochistan.

The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) reported several operations, including an ambush on a military convoy in the Tatgar area of Yakmach, which they claim killed six personnel. The group also stated they established checkpoints in the Koh Dagar and Kech areas to monitor military movements and conducted attacks on military camps in Tump using heavy weaponry.

Simultaneously, the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) and the Baloch Republican Guard (BRG) claimed responsibility for operations in Lasbela, Jiwani, Mashkel, and Kachhi. The BLA reported an attack on a military bomb disposal convoy in Lasbela that resulted in nine military deaths, though Pakistani officials reported a lower figure of four security personnel killed.

In Mashkel, the BLA claimed to have seized a lithium exploration site, destroying drilling machines and vehicles while warning international companies against participating in lithium extraction within the region. The group also reported an intelligence-based operation in Jiwani that resulted in the deaths of four individuals allegedly linked to military intelligence.
