Balochistan, Pakistan hit by deadly attacks on security forces and civilians

A vehicle‑borne suicide bomber rammed an explosives‑laden truck into a Pakistan Coast Guard check‑post near Jiwani in the southwestern Balochistan province, killing two Pakistan Army soldiers and one Coast Guard member and wounding 15 security personnel. The Baloch Liberation Army claimed responsibility, saying its Majeed Brigade unit carried out the strike at a location that is part of the China‑Pakistan Economic Corridor.

In a separate incident in the Badwan area of Qila Abdullah district, unidentified gunmen opened fire in what police described as a long‑standing personal feud, killing four men and critically injuring a young girl. The victims' families staged a sit‑in protest on the Quetta‑Chaman highway, demanding arrests and justice. Local authorities have deployed additional security forces and opened investigations into both incidents.
