Balochistan security forces foil BLA suicide attack plot involving minors

Balochistan Interior Minister Ziya Langho announced that security forces foiled a plan by the banned Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) to use two underage girls in suicide attacks. During a press conference in Quetta, the minister stated that 16-year-old Zainab and 12-year-old Fatima were rescued after being held for approximately 40 days.

According to the reports, the girls were allegedly manipulated through emotional coercion and false narratives. Zainab claimed that a local BLA commander attempted to recruit her husband, Saif, for the organization; when he refused, he was reportedly killed. The commander then allegedly contacted Zainab, blaming state institutions for her husband's death to incite revenge.

The girls reported being held in captivity where they were subjected to violence and psychological pressure. The Interior Minister emphasized that security forces are actively preventing numerous terrorist plots and are working to protect local traditions and citizens from extremist influence.
