Balochistan security forces kill multiple militants in series of operations

Pakistan security forces have intensified counterterrorism efforts in Balochistan through a series of intelligence-based operations under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3. In the Kharan district, seven militants belonging to the Fitna al-Khawarij group were killed in the Lajay area. During this operation, security forces recovered weapons, ammunition, two vehicles, and a motorcycle from militant hideouts. However, local sources have reported the death of a civilian farmer, Sultan Mohammad, in a suspected drone strike in the same area.

Other recent operations across the province have resulted in significant militant casualties. In Khuzdar district, ten terrorists were killed during an exchange of fire in the Shor Parod area. In the Surab district, at least 18 militants were reported killed, including eight in a premature detonation. Additionally, five terrorists, including a senior commander, were eliminated in the Panjgur district.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi have both praised the security forces for these achievements, emphasizing the necessity of these actions to safeguard national security. The military continues to conduct operations to disrupt militant networks involved in extortion, kidnapping, and suicide attacks.
