Balochistan security operations kill 11 militants
Pakistan security forces killed 11 militants during two separate intelligence-based operations in the Balochistan province on September 6 and 7, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
In the Kharan district, forces intercepted a group attempting to establish a roadblock and disrupt traffic on September 6, resulting in the deaths of eight militants. A subsequent operation in the Washuk district on September 7 targeted a terrorist hideout, leading to the deaths of three more individuals.
During these operations, security forces recovered 2.9 tons of explosive material intended for the production of improvised explosive devices (IEDs). The military characterized the militants as being sponsored by India. Sanitization operations are ongoing in the region to locate any remaining threats as part of the 'Azm-e-Istehkam' counter-terrorism initiative.
