Balochistan security operations kill over 40 militants

Pakistani security forces have killed at least 42 militants during a series of intelligence-based operations across Balochistan since September 21. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported that 33 militants, described by officials as ‘Indian-sponsored’, were killed during ‘Operation Shaban’ and other counter-terrorism efforts.

In Nushki district, an operation targeting a militant hideout resulted in the deaths of 11 terrorists following an intense exchange of fire. In a separate incident in the Mastung district, nine militants were killed after attempting to attack a security post in Kanak Valley; among the deceased were two Afghan nationals, including one identified via an Afghan Intelligence card.

Security forces recovered weapons, ammunition, and explosives from various locations. The military stated that these actions are part of the ‘Azm-i-Istehkam’ campaign, approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, aimed at neutralizing threats and foreign-backed terrorism in the region.
